Hey what’s up? What’s up? What’s up, everybody? Welcome back to THE a.m guys. Welcome back to five minute rants, the show where we talked about anything and everything predicated on the journey of life and business. I’m your host, Michael Abernathy. Welcome back, guys.

So today, I want to talk about something else in another shift that I see happening in culture. And in our society. I really want to talk about tribalism, looking at the way how our world is shaping up currently, especially with the internet, and especially with digital devices like handhelds, and things that are ever increasing our connectivity to the world. What we What we’re beginning to see and really find is something that I call tribalism, where the global connection and that massive outreach of global connection is beginning to drive more of a need, and a deeper desire for local communities.

And you can see that beginning to change in real estate, you can see how real estate is actually gravitating towards that if you’ve ever seen live work, places popping up around you, if you’ve ever watched how apartment complex or even Condominiums are being built, how everything is changing in that way. I also think that it is creating a desire to find like minded people and to find a real, intimate connections with people. And I’m not talking about like, you know, somebody you’re gonna date. But I’m talking about, like real friendships that are more deeper. And I think we’re going to watch that occur across the United States more and more and really, honestly, across the globe, simply because of the connectivity, the connectivity is increasing and increasing. And as things get larger, we tend to become more self aware of how big the world is. And as a result, I think that’s going to continue to drive local tribalism and continue to drive just that need for more intimate connections with places.

I think that this is important, because even within the digital space as places more and more connected, even with web 3.0 coming out. And if you don’t know about that, you know, well, I’d encourage you to look it up and read about it. I’ll probably do another episode later about it. But with web 3.0, I think there’s going to be a lot of this tribalism popping up, as people want to become more and more connected with like minded individuals. And they don’t want to feel overwhelmed with a massive global community. They want to feel safe and at home, in something smaller, more manageable, versus something so large and ethereal, it doesn’t really connect with them. And they want emotional connections. And I’m saying this because I really believe like, this is going to greatly impact businesses. This greatly impacts the marketing sector. This greatly impacts content on social, how people are making content for social and why they’re making content for social.

I also think that the next generation growing up Gen Z, especially, I think we’re really going to watch them drive a lot of this as well. I think we’re gonna watch them drive, a lot of cultural changes. And I think they’re going to have an impact in this way, we’re going to watch how that’s going to shape not only our physical communities, but the digital communities. And I’m saying this, because change is always on our doorstep. And it’s not so much always changing. But it’s how do we continue to grow? It’s not just putting a bandaid. Oh, yeah, we have cultural change. I just need to go from wearing, you know, cargo pants to skinny jeans. It’s not that it’s more How do I adapt and grow as an individual to really continue to move with society, not lose my identity or who I am as a person, and also not lose my principles, but how I can continue to serve people how I can continue to grow, and help people how I can continue to move as an individual within society and cultural changes like What we’re talking about.

So I’m just saying this because I think there’s a lot of tribalism already. But it’s going to greatly increase and not decrease. And we’re going to watch like local tribes pop up all in the digital world and all over in the physical world as well. So and I think it’s just important to keep that in mind. As we are continuing to change and evolve and especially a lot with AI. I think AI is going to drive a ton of human interaction. I think AI is going to drive a ton of, of human identification, like there’s going to be a need to identify humans who’s making content. I think blockchain is going to tie in to this. But ultimately What is going to happen is it’s really going to drive that tribalism to find those like minded people in our lives and the people that we want to be with.

Anyways guys, I’m out of time. So I’ll catch y’all on the flip side. Peace
