Hey what’s up everybody? Welcome to THE a.m. Welcome to 5 Minute Rants. I’m your host, Michael Abernathy, and welcome to today’s episode. Hope y’all doing good, hope life is treating y’all well, I’m better than I deserve personally. and life has been good. The day outside is gorgeous. Or as I like to say, my personal life, it’s delicious. Everybody makes fun of me for that. But I legit think that’s true. It’s delicious outside.

Anyways, today’s episode is called Start It. All right, “Start It! Ship It!” I mean, I cannot impress upon the importance of whatever you’re doing in life, whether you’re at home with kids, whether you’re working your job, whether you have an idea that you just want to work on a build on, or whether you just want to start a hobby that you love, maybe a side hustle, it doesn’t matter. I want to impress the importance upon you to start it, okay.

If you think about a car, if a car does not start, it is useless to you, it can never get you where you want to go in life. So if you want to move out of a different position, if you want to change your life, if you want to better some area of it, start it, right? If you want to read more, just start. It’s that simple. Don’t worry about how don’t worry about the technical, don’t worry about failure, right? Don’t worry about oh my gosh, when am I going to do it? No, Just do it. Literally Just pick the book up today. Go and read. Right? You want to wake up earlier, okay? Start tonight, go to bed early. Waking up early starts with going to bed early, okay, you can’t stay up the same amount of time you used to, if you’re gonna get up early, your whole day is going to shift.

But the what matters the most is that you start. Now here’s the great thing about starting, you’re going to fail. That’s okay. You got to embrace failure. Remember, if you go back to improvement, if you go back to life change, one of the first steps in any of this is to actually embrace failure to have the humility to be wrong. Failure is not a bad thing. It teaches you what not to do. Listen, I got a Harvard degree and stupidity about all the things not to do, in business, in life, as a husband, right? As a solo guy, when I used to be single, all that stuff. I got a Harvard degree and stupidity in a lot of things, and let me tell you, it is worth its weight in gold, knowing the wrong answer is just as important as knowing the right one. and knowing the wrong answer actually helps you ask the right questions, and you’ll never get the answer you’re looking for. If you don’t know the question you need to ask.

Okay, so just start it. The point of this is to start, get up, do what you got to do, move forward, let the journey just happen. But it won’t until you start. A car again, it’s not going to take you where you need to go, unless you just start it.

Okay. So whatever your goal is, whatever your vision is in life, take a few minutes, write it down on paper, and then just start, once you start from there, after you continue and have that follow through with doing the work, doing whatever it is that you’re trying to do, then you can refine from that place. Don’t worry about refinement, don’t worry about oh, I’m not good enough. I don’t know how to do it good enough, it does not matter if you don’t know how to play an instrument, you don’t know how to play an instrument. So you might as well just pick up the guitar and start learning. If you don’t know how to do business. You don’t know how to run a business? well, you might as well just try and start one. What better way to learn, right? There’s no better way to learn than in the moment while you’re doing things. There’s a scientific evidence with the myelin wrapping around in the brain, to learn and relearn memories and have core functions being learned in the moment. There’s so much value and benefit to having that hands on experience, which is doing things, right?

So I Just want to encourage you guys “Start It! Ship It!” push it out the door. I wish I learned this at a younger age. and I wish that I learned it didn’t matter what I looked like it didn’t matter who I was at the time. What matters is am I moving towards the person towards the Man that I want to be, towards the life that I want to have? Am I moving towards the goal? Am I moving forward in my journey? That’s really what matters, and if I don’t start, I will never move forward in that walk and in that journey.

And so to encourage you guys, really start it, run with it, okay, you’re gonna fall it’s Just like riding your bike, but it’s totally worth it. You take the training wheels off, you’re going to skin your knees, it doesn’t matter. Get back up, get on the bike, keep moving forward. and starting it is so important. So ship it, get it out the door. Don’t wait for something to happen in your life. Today’s the day to Just do it to start whatever you want for that improvement and for that goal.

Anyways guys, I’ll catch you on the flip side peace!
